Half-a-Second Studios is a graphic design and new media agency based in the UK and Amsterdam. It was founded in 2004 by graphic designer Elizabeth Tree and Jack Pickett when they were living together in Greenwich, 2004. A website followed in 2005 and also a company move to Amsterdam in 2006 where the company formed close ties with a number of Dutch businesses.

Elizabeth, 26 years old, graduated from the London School of Fashion in 2004 and, after co-founding Half-a-Second Studios, has been involved in the world of visual design ever since. Her distinct style has won her critical acclaim and her clients recently include AMEX, Angel Eye Media, MTV and Honda. As well as being a graphic artist - Lizzie has recently been doing a lot of costume design, most recently on pilot: Delta Forever which has been nominated for Best Entertainment Programme for BAFTA Scotland.

Jack Pickett - Technical Director

Jack founded Half-a-Second studios whilst living in Greenwich, 2004. The name is a nautical reference to the company’s first office near the International Date Line. Jack is our in-house technical expert - with a strong background in HTML, PHP, MySQL and Flash - he takes the creative ideas and makes them work. He also is a keen musician and composer - an associate member of PRS, BASCA and a BAFTA nominee; his catalogue has appeared on a number of different famous television programs. |
Patrick Cull - Associate Director

Patrick Cull joined the team as a business mentor and strategist in 2006 after we worked with him on the Globe Call campaign. That said he takes a very hands on role in regards to a lot of the web-copy we have to generate - and the email marketing strategies that we formulate for our clients. He is also the founder and director of the If I Knew Then Project © which offers help and advice to young people and allows you to leave 1 piece of life advice for others.
